SEPHCO DC Series Battery Discharge Load Banks

Battery discharge load banks are available in two types, DCM manually controlled by switches and DCC type which are constant current type controlled by a digital display control processor. Standard DCM units are available for telecommunication batteries in 50 volts DC, higher voltages are made to order.

DC Series Description

Battery discharge Load Banks are compact mobile units, available in standard  capacities of 65 Amps,180 Amps, 300 Amps, 500 Amps, 800 Amps and 1200 Amps, at a nominal voltage of 50 volts DC. The DCM series are also available in customized sizes to suit higher DC voltages and currents. The units are fan cooled, incorporating stainless steel cased resistors for temperature stability.

Switching is done by DC rated breakers, mounted at the front of the unit. Step increments of 1 Amp are standard.

Models up to 500 Amp capacity, incorporate a flush mounted Anderson type cable connector. Larger capacity units incorporate busbars for cable connections. DCM Series Load Banks are fitted with standard meters, including a digital Amp meter and an analogue Volt meter.

DCC type load banks are fully automatic systems controlled by a digital display processor type DC100CC. 
The DC100CC panel is a dedicated microprocessor controller designed to monitor the condition of the load bank and to start-up and control the load bank operation. The control panel has touch type key operation and an LED display screen which displays the values entered. LED status lamps, indicate the fan status, fault condition of the load bank and test completed.

Settings include discharge operating voltage, discharge current and time.
