SEPHCO Digital 'Touch Type' Controls
MC12P Digital Controller
The MC12P controller
features a touch type keypad and LED load display,
built-in to load bank cable connection box or supplied
loose for flush mounting and fitting into a remote
location.
The MC12P controller offers simple operation of
the load bank start up, kilowatt selection and
load bank status. The unit automatically configures
the load steps in the load bank to provide instant
kilowatt response as selected by the Up/Down keys.
Other features include load bank "system check" which
prevents loading in the event of fan cooling failure,
fan reversal or high temperature.
The MC12P controller
totally replaces outdated control devices such
as toggle switches and push buttons.
SmartLoad LS800D Controller
The SmartLoad
LS800D control uses the latest generation microprocessor
with EEPROM memory for system back-up of operation
parameters during power loss.
Advanced software
programming provides a level of control not possible
with any current sensing relays or PLC. By monitoring
the generator set current via a appropriate C.T.,
the unit calculates the exact load required to
precisely stabilize the generator set loading.
The linear hysteresis of the control ensures fast
response and conditions the plant load accordingly
by adding an appropriate load value from the load bank to correspond with the
controller's set value, generally set between 35% and 50 % of generator
set rating.
Upon recovery of the plant load, the processor sheds loads
from the load bank to maintain the current required. Connection for a
voltage free signal is provided for interfacing with the building management
system, transfer switch or generator start relay.
In the event of a utility
power failure, occurring during auto operation, the voltage free signal
disables the controller, instantly dumping of loads in the load bank
and reinstating the "Auto Standby" mode for normal operation.
LS800D Soft Loading Capability
The LS800D "Soft " feature,
ensures that overloading of the generator set does not occur
during load bank startup. Loads are ramped up and down through
an adjustable time sequence, each time the load bank is energized.
Similarly, the “soft” loading ensures that the
generator set is not instantly unloaded when a sudden surge
occurs in the system load. The provides smooth running for
the engine avoiding unnecessary reaction to instant spikes.
Remote Control Manual Over ride
and Genset Exercising Panel Model LS800MPE
The LS800MPE is an optional
control panel added to the load bank installation for remote,
manual overriding of the load bank.
Connection is by a
simple three-core cable, connected to the load bank's auxiliary
terminals. Featuring a touch-type keypad and LED display,
the LS800MPE offers simple operation for manually controllability
of the load bank.
Selection of operation includes Manual
Loading, Auto-Load Shedding and Auto Genset Exercise mode. The exercising function is programmable
by setting up a load routine with time duration.
The LED
display indicates the kilowatt value activated at the load bank during
any of the switching operations. Additional LED's display mode
selection and the status of the load bank, including fan-cooling fault.
Connection for a voltage free signal is provided for
interfacing with the building management system, transfer
switch or generator start relay.
In the event of a utility
power failure, occurring during manual operation or auto
exercising, the voltage free signal disables the controller,
instantly dumping of loads in the load bank and reinstating
the "Auto Standby" mode for normal operation.
SEPHCO RTSW Manual Control Switch
This economical range
in the sizes up to 100kW Is controlled by rotary load selection
switch located On the side of the control cabinet. The
load sets are selected manually.
